There is so much wasted space on this screen! Why couldn’t they move the song title line BELOW the artist so there’s enough space to fit full song titles? It’s a massive display that uses space so poorly...

though.... Sepultura - Inner Self would fit perfectly :]

One of my many, many gripes with the Odyssey, and with Honda in general. This one is actually really low on the list...

The dual-screen center stack that Honda introduced in 2013 is, well….pretty bad. The upper screen is a carryover from the older models and is common to most Hondas today. It only makes use of a fraction of the screen, so items like the name of the song on the radio still show only a few characters. Most of the screen is woefully underutilized, but that doesn’t matter when you’re rocking out to YOU’RE SOME KIN by GRAND FUN on Sirius/XM.

You’rereview is very well done and honestly explains many of my complaints.
The paint quality isnt very good on mine. My trunk weighs absolutely nothing and barely feels like I closed it.
I gave up on the small touchscreen. I only use steering wheel buttons now.
My hood gap isn’t even (I thought honda was good for this stuff)
I just see lots of cut corners.
The accord was a compromise for me. I needed out of my car and this was the best option for the time being.
It does it’s job fine, but I don’t feel any real connection. It’s a fancy appliance.

it’s not just you. I was looking over a ‘16 Civic and was rather surprised at the poor body fits.

This is one of the reasons why when people say “you should drive a minivan instead of xxxxxxx” I roll my eyes. Not enough thought or care has been put into the design and building of them. I’ve actually DD’d two minivans in my life and am not opposed to the segment at all. But the vans built in the last 10-15 years have been total crap. The latest crop appear to be better, but our next car will probably be a large sedan when the boys are out of their car seats. Something like a Lincoln with a big trunk. Martin Blanke would approve.

When I was first looking at this car I actually went down to the honda dealer to compare them because I thought mine was in an accident

Is yours an Ody, as well? You mentioned trunk, so I'm assuming it's a Civic. I agree with you on the paint, the whole thing looks like an aftermarket job, even side by side in the garage with my 2001 VW. In some weird way (misery loves company), I'm glad to know the problems aren't isolated to my specific car, or to one specific factory.

Had a 2013 civic which shared issues
Now I have a 2013 Accord V6 coupe (top of the line!) And it still has many issues
And as you said, it is funny to see how all classes and trims of vehicles have similar problems
